Overview of one-time classes
Wheel-throwing
It is a 2-hour session learning the very basics of throwing on the potter's wheel. You will be learning how to throw a cylinder on the potter’s wheel. You may or may not be able to make anything, if you end up making anything you may select up to 2 objects for us to finish trimming and firing. We do not guarantee that your pots will survive all the firings due to various issues such as insufficient wedging or other structural issues as you were shaping the pots on the wheel. Pick up is 2 weeks from the date of your class and unclaimed objects will be discarded 4 weeks from the date of class. Please contact the studio to find out if your pots are ready for pick up and if your pots survived the firings.
NO LONG NAILS PLEASE!
Hand-Building
It is a 2-hour session learning how to make a cup with decorations from scratch or a coiling project. With approximately 3 pounds of clay student you may request a project, like a small planter or a pouring vessel, etc. We will glaze and fire them.
